I had to oppertunity to translate this weekend under SV judge Dieter Oeser . I enjoyed his judgement very much he  takes the total dog into consideration regardless of color or bloodline . In my opinion an excellent judge  and I would recommend him to any club or any one that is seeking a fair evalutation of their dogs !

Merrimack Valley Workingdog club hosted the event and as always  they arranged a nice event  and no entrie went home empty handed . They supplied every participant with a mug  with the regional conformationshow logo on it . Beautiful throphys for all classes.

Nice event however entries could have been larger however , a good time was had by all !!!

I don't have the catalog nor the placements maybe smeone does and will post them:))

Well my catalog is being borrowed. I have tons of photos!! But Haus Hutfield's handsome guy, Shotaan Alfons took the Sieger placement, with the judge's highest remarks. "Alfie" was looking pretty good during the bitework too! Sabrina deserves a lot fo credit as she also raised and trained and titled him herself as I understood it.  Siegerin went to a Kirschental girl with an HGH title, Xeniali vom Kirschental owned by Karen from Traumhof GSD's. My own wee little brag: my little tyke Degen Von Rokanhaus took VP3 in the 4-6 month female puppy class! An up and coming "workin' dawg", entered just for fun, I was delighted to say the least!! Pia's little pup took the VP 2 placement in the same class. I will ditto what Pia said about the judge. He was very fair and gave each dog the same attention, and consideration. I would show under him again any time.

I would post photos, but can't figure out how....

I likes Shodan Alfons , the male displays  excellent correct structure with absolute middle size, very harmonious gaiting  and his bitework is also nice !!! A male people who are considering conformationlines should look into !!

Pia, that is an excellent picture of Alfi! he is truly a gorgeous male. I love his relationship with Sabrina. I thought he was handled incredibly well by Carl. Carl makes it all look effortless, and having a dog like Sabrina's who moves so beautifully, makes for a very nice picture.

I was disappointed in the amount of entries. I really had hoped there would be more dogs entered. The puppies were fun to watch, even though handler and puppies were EXHAUSTED from all that running. It was also very nice to see working dogs in the show, and to see them place as well as they did! There were a couple of working dogs who moved beautifully in the ring. I liked how the judge was fair to all, giving all the same treatment and respect.

I was disappointed with the bite work in the breed surveys. However, it has been pointed out to me that I am overly critical when I observe bite work.

It was really nice weather for the dogs and handlers to run. I cannot imagine how it would have been had it been typical August weather. Some handlers and double handlers spent a LOT of time running their dogs. That was very impressive, as I would have passed out had I been in their shoes.

It was a nice change to see people picking up after their dogs, keeping close eye as to where their dog was in relationship to another, and that the field was left in good condition.  There were a lot of spectators there who brought their dogs out to watch and socialize, and it was indeed a pleasure to see so many enjoying the weekend with their dogs.

Congratulations to all who entered, and to those who won...WELL DONE!
