Do you think the SV will ever approve the use of frozen semen?

I really, really wish they would. It would probably mean stud fees would skyrocket,  but I think it would really improve the gene pool on a global level.  With the DNA technology we have today, I don't understand their stance. Couldnt they require a DNA before issuing papaers to a litter? Would make a lot of sense to me.

No, they will never approve that. But it is not up to them anyway. They have to abide by the rules and regulations of the VDH (Verband fuer Deutsches Hundewesen), like all breed clubs in Germany.

It will definately improve the genepool globally and ofcourse the quality of .GSD globally. But then exclusivity of German breeders is no more there. I mean any breeder can have a litter from Sieger So nobody would really need to buy a dog from Germany to get the desired quality. That will be big blow to booming business right now.
