I'm probably posting this because I've had no sleep in since Sunday night as my female Shepherd had pups last night, and I mean all night as in 8:00 in the evening till 10:00 this morning. This was her first litter so I made sure I had everything ready to go because the ultrasound indicated she had 10 pups. First off let me point out that I might have 1 litter a year! if that, as I am busy with my business and family, but I do enjoy my dogs. I was really looking forward to this litter as I have placed almost all of the pups to good homes already. Like I said this lasted all night and I guess it just amazes me as to how the Motherly instincts take over even for a first time Mom. When my female had her first pup the exitement started for me, the funny thing was she looked at me like what the hell do i DO NOW, I tore the sack away from the pups head and mom took over and she did it all night long and has turned out to be a great Mom. I guess I'm just trying to saver the moment because I don't do this alot and after watching the post of the a-holes abusing the dog on another post I felt compelled to post a good thing that went on today. For all the bad shit you see there is twice as much good stuff that we neever see..............................................

Congratulations on your new babies blueshep! Always such a blessing to see these sweet babies. I'm glad your girl is a great Mom!
Get some sleep so you can enjoy them and get us some pictures if/when you can.
You are also so correct about the good stuff. I guess it just doesn't always interest people quite as much. 'Tis a shame really.
