Thinking about a nice educational topic to post on the messageboard...Any ideas???

I'd like to see some research on the effects of air travel on fetuses. Do whelps absorb due to air travel, if so what is the percentage? If they do, why? If an ultrasound was done before flight how many whelps were there? how many were delivered? What has been experienced? Something along that line is a topic that has not been done to death on here. How's that for a topic Marci? is that what you are looking for? That would be educational.

I like the topic! I have had mixed experiences with this and would also like to know what everyone has experienced. Thanks gsdlvr2!

And it will definitely be interesting if you're the one who's going to have a litter while travelling by air. gsdlvr2..  and with Dr.Ehrenwald to do the ultrasound for you on the plane... Both of you probably are experienced in WHELPING...

Have a good night....   :)

I had a wacking arguement before why the Croup should be LONG.. and I miss that kind of educational argument..( I think that was with clearwater ) The topline according to GSD Standards should be consisting of a high LONG wither , SHORT back and LONG sloping croup (2 long ones and one short back )...Think of this guys...notice that herding dogs  predominantly have straight backs (Withers same level as Back) as compared to Working dogs with pronounced withers... You can see also this type of difference in horses... The Riding horse and the Pacer... has very different type of backs...    I understand that there are RACE HORSE breeders also in this board???    I've tried to post questions on "How to improve the Withers... but to date...haven't got any answers..." Any ideas???

Marci, maybe you could find a good Pacer horse to breed with your straight back GSD?! Having a good night :)
