What does the term mean and what are the different types???

by Sunsilver on 12 August 2007 - 18:08
Marci, they essentially mean the same thing, typevolle being the German equivalent of typey. It's a bit hard to define, but In my mind, it means the animal is a good representativeof its breed standard, in other words, it's close to the 'ideal'.

So when you get TYPEY... that means you dog falls within average... Some get particularly masculine (like URSUS)... some noticeably strong... the term brought about the GSD figuring out like coming out of a COOKIE-CUTTER... Any other ideas about the TERM???

generally the German 'typvolle' means good expression.
a dog who has masculinity & plush coat w/ great pigment on head/hair - ex) a dog like Nero Noebachtal.
then German says the dog has great typ.
it's a way diffrent the meaning of 'Typical' in notional.
i hope it helps you.
