My 5yr bitch suffers with pannus which is always under treatment, 6 months ago she had a lump come up at the side of her ear which we had removed and a biopsy stated it was an under laying infection which was treated, She has now got another lump on her muzzel the vet took some fluid from it and again it is an infectionwhich is being treated with antibiotics, The vet has told me she has low immune.
Both my dogs are on a good quality complete food, Is there anything i can give her to boost her immune system up as i dont want to keep giving her antibiotics every six months or so.

I am not sure if this will help..but it is a very good supplement to boost the immune system....it is called Hokamix....

You may also want to look at the Solid Gold's website. They have some good sullpements also...
I hope that this helps.

Off the top of my head and at 4 am
there is a shot immuno regulin for horses that helps restore a lagging immune and also enhances the efficacy of antibiotics that can be used on dogs
Prozyme is good too plus for a lot of other problems,
Also Vit C
Like anything else talk these over with your vet before use.
Good Luck

Garlic is a natural immune booster. With my chickens, I would add 1 clove ( peeled, whole) to a 5 gal bucket of water and change it out once a week or so. I also added 1/8 c of Apple Cider vinegar ( with the mother when available). My dogs prefered the chickens water. This combination put a stop to coccidiosis that had come into my flock and was affecting my chicks. Vinegar is known to create a hostile environment for internal parasite to take hold as well as enhances the body's ability to absorb calcium from the food.

How much predinsone is your bitch on for the pannus? Steroids knock the immune system out. See if you can cut back on her dose a bit, and still keep the pannus under control. I was able to cut back to only every 4-5 days for the drops for my GSD with pannus. Even then, she develped a low-grade bacterial infection in her spine, along with spondylitis.
