There are lots of older studs who have produced top titled sport dogs.  (Or even not so old studs)

Can you name some in the USA and Europe to look at?  I prefer West german Working lines.

Please tell why a particular dog interests you.

Thanks for the help.

The ones in Europe - ???  too many to list!

the good ones who come here - fade into nowhere.  Lewis was here, Fero was here too, Too far to travel to get to them.  Too many local club dogs and too much politics.  Dont' like the guy who is standing the dog so breed your bitch to dog who never produced anything because he is in your club.  You better breed to your trainers dog or your buddys dog or better yet, your own.   No one breeds a dog who has a bad pedigree, they all have BSP dogs out the behind.

There are some good dogs here.  Bastin Koketal has some real nice pups out there - think he had a BSP dog last year.  Some good ones training here from word of mouth.  The big name now is Olex Valsory - he made alot of nice titled dogs in Germany.  lots of Nick sons around.  Are any of them producing?  Balu Eichensdorf?? is from a super family - did he get a chance to produce here even? Joanne Flemings Tom dog  has titled pups in Europe and in Texas  at Germelhaus.  The A  haus Lohre dogs are from his sister so  good female family on this dog.  Are there any Asko sons producing pups here?  Can't get much more proven than Asko !!!  Kway Posthorn has some youngsters who are sounding like they will title. Ernst and Erbo Weinbergblick are/were both here.  Great producers if you are willing to wait and cull.  Macho Kosenwald was another dog who I like.  Lots of his sons around, any of them have titled pups?   Lots of Aly sons here too.  Anyone got Aly sons who have titled pups?   Rex K had some litters.  Didn't Chafins have an Aly son, Uwe? Any pups titled from them?

Good males are all over the place.  Most don't get a chance to breed a really good female.

lee, alias jrt and a host of others,

Why do you pretend to be someone you are not? Do you have a latent desire to be someone/something other than yourself?

C Wilkins you need to get a real life and quit thinking everyone is lee.  You seem obsessed.  She must really have rejected you for you to be so bitter.  Move on. the board will be a better place without your OC behavior.

lee or whatever you call yourself today,

Unless you can prove otherwise,  I'm going to coninue to remind folks of who and what you are. Why don't you slink back to the other boards where you can be a legend in your own mind.

Come on Chuck. Give me some examples of studs who are reproducing their talents in their progeny either here or in Europe. I am beginning to think about a new dog in the fall 2008.

Thanks,

D'man

Why dont you try "Eick von der Berger Hochburg". He is as nice of a dog that you can find here in the States and Mike Diehl is a gentleman and speaks candidly about his dogs, very nice guy to talk to. Eick has a lot of offspring on the ground and they really good. Also noteable is the fact that Eick is a Amigo son and he passes his genetics on very well.

You can also see that plenty of other kennels are using him as a stud, so that tells you a lot when some of these people have decent stud dogs of their own.

Some of the dogs mentioned above are proven producers others are not and have no idea why they are listed . All anyone would do to research is look at the titled dogs underneath the dogs you are thinking about or have in mind. There are some good dogs here in the states for sure there are dogs here that have produced dogs in the WUSV for that matter must more of a gauge than a BSP. Keep in mind that a dog is usually three before they get their titles and are seen to get breedings and once their offspring is around two and in the sport to see what they do ....by that time the dog is around six ....Ernst I think is dead...Olex is a good choice for sure proven over and over again....like I see some dogs on the list  above have not seen anything from them titled at all let alone top sport dogs as you orginal posters was asking about. I have heard the Mikes dog is a excellent producer as well just to clear my statements does not apply to all that is listed above.

Marlene: On another thread the question of using    Fair hips for breeding  has been discussed and    V Eick has    fast normal hips which on that thread   was told to   be the      same as     Fair?

Comments please    ......Ive been studing pedigrees on the fast normal  question for days.......

JRT:  I like all the dogs you mentioned and would add Falk von den Wolfen to the list.
