My partner was injured today - Page 1

One of my partners I work with everyday was injured today. He was helping an officer from another agency who was chasing a guy that had beat the shit out of his girlfriend. My partner caught him and the guy did not give up and chose to fight. It took 4 officers to gain control of the guy. My partner injured his shoulder. They say he is going to be OK but will be off work for a week or two.

I was listening to the whole thing on the radio but could not help him because I am injured right now myself. Sucks to hear your partner needs help and you can't go.

That's so crazy.  I don't understand people at all.  I I'm sorry GARD, I hope your partner recovers quickly and completely.  The story you posted a link to makes me feel physically ill.  Just so senseless.

I'm sorry GARD.  I hope you and your partner heal well and soon.  That had to really suck to listen and not be able to help. My thoughts and prayers will be with you both. 

And that story....    The poor family. I hope they guy that did that will be tried, found guilty, and the death penalty would work in this case.

Hope you feel better Gard.  I'm sure you're partner will be alright too, just needs to rest up a bit and hopefully he'll be good as new.  Now if only you can get 4pack to cook up one of her gourmet take out dinners and give you a good rub down you'll be good to go too. lol

I always hate to hear about any officer getting hurt. Hope he gets to feeling better soon. Same goes to you.

Sorry to hear about your partner and your own injuries. Actually I probably get more mad then sorry when I hear about these things. The clown will probably get his hand slapped and go to counseling for all this. Hope I'm wrong, but so often this is the case.

You said there are 100's of these stories happen every day. I think that is an understatement. When I think of how many L.E. their are in this country that go to work everyday to protect us against these scum bags and risk their lives, or injuries so the media can rip them apart by playing Monday morning quarterbacks, Judges that will turn around and release the guy before you get done with your paper work, sentensing that is a joke, people running around with camcorders in hopes of making the police look bad, and all the thousands of empty headed people that make coments like " another cop uses his gun first with out thinking " it makes me want to puke. I worked with felons long enough to know the potential and the need to be alert at all times and to be skeptical and ready to act. But does the empty headed public see this? Does the empty headed public walk in their shoes and know the fear and the concern about going home to your family, while we the public sit on our fat a...... in our recliners watching the news, the same news  that loves to find some crud to throw up to the pubic to slander the few good things we have going for us. "These same cry babies that cry about the police will be the first to want them to respond to their complaints and to accomodate their every whim. Well , hope you get well so you can put up with all this.
 
By the way GARD since this is your thread I don't  need to worry about hijacking it so I wanted to tell you that Pit Bulls are only as good as their genetics and upbringing. Their are many pit bulls out there that should not have been bred, as the aggression towards man has been bred into them, they are not the same breed as they were 40 yrs ago when the only aggression they had was towards other fighting breeds. There are too many that have fallen victum to mans desire to have the ultimate guard dog and these dogs are being bred at an incredible rate. Many have crossed over the threshold of loving man to distrusting man and then you have defense drive for the drug dealers. Or you have the dogs that simply are not sound from the git and some type of stimulas that triggers prey ,goes bad and you have some real tragedy. They can be the best in the world and they can be the worst in the world. Look at the Rots since they came here and became popular. Pits unfortunatly became very popular with the bad guys as well as the good guys. Well, I guess I said enough for awhile. Take care and I hope your attitude is better then mine.
