MygsdRebel

by MygsdRebel on 08 August 2007 - 23:08

Hello, i'm sending in my GSD's papers to make sure he is registered in time fo his trial this fall.

But, he is from a C Litter and his name is Rebel.

Would you suggest having his registered name be C Rebel?

Or instead, should I just have a C name for his papers?

I'm sort of new at this, so I don't know which is preferred.

It would be immensely helpful if you could reply. :D

It really depends if your breeder has his papers starting out with a C name or not. You can always be polite and ask your breeder if you have to name him with a C name. I have a male that his name needed to start with a Z but his call name started with a B name. If the breeder doesn't require his paper name to start with a C then I would think you can name him what ever you want, but I would also be polite and ask the breeder first.

Hey Kelly.

I already know his registered name has to start with a C. I guess the breeder requires it,

I just didn't know if it was more appropriate to have a C then his name, or just give him a registered name.

I would just register him in a C name. I think it would sound better to me than to have it say C Rebel. that's JMO.

How about naming him.....Cyrebel...then you could have his C-name and his call name.

BTW...pronounced "SY-REBEL"

Just a thought.

sounds like a "WEINER" to me!!!!!!!

I know it's not a great name.....but whatcha goin do?????

Theres always...Corebelo....maybe a little less "weinerish"???   Who knows?    I hate when the breeder doesn't name the dog.....even if I don't care for the name...it' still easier.....I can call it whatever I want.

I bought a dog once named JABBA.....YUCK!!!...we called him Jake.

I had time to spare......so I posted.

Thanks for the help. ( Excluding Yellowrose. )

I ended up putting his registered name as Cain.

Thanks again for the help!

Emily.

CAIN is cool!  A nice strong, masculine name.

Lots of luck to you!
