When my dog Nenz vom Klebinger SchloB was registered in 2003, years before I had a clue who he was (he was probably still in Germany then) whoever registered him had one show listed. Under Place it says ULM and Result SG. Does that mean anything? Also I can't understand anything written about any dog in his pedigree as it's in German. Can anyone translate? I found his registration by typing in Nenz vom Klebinger Schlo in GSD search. Just curious.

I believe it is the abbreviation for the place the show was held....and that SG means very good..............jo

That means that he received an SG-rating at the Sieger Show in 2003 held in Ulm (that is a big German city).
What German words would you like to know? The only thing German I see is the breed survey reports?

I wanted to see pictures of his parents, grandparents, etc. There was a bunch of stuff written by them in German. I'm just curious about it because I can't read it.

Copy and paste the text in an email to me. I'd be happy to translate.

I just found out what a breed survey is. It was mentioned in a book I bought. That must be what is by the pictures of his mom and dad. I don't know how to copy and paste it.

Literally means "very good" in German. When SG proceeds a dog's name, it means it has received a very good rating in a German style conformation show. This is the highest rating that can be earned by a non-titled dog. The V rating in conformation can only be awarded when a dog has a Schutzhund title.
SG is also used to refer to very good scores in Schutzhund, but in this case, it is not part of the dog's name. If the total points earned by the dog in achieving a Schutzhund title are between 270 and 285 (out of 300), the dog will receive an overall rating of SG
