This is just horrible, shows how inadequately staffed much of Oklahoma small towns are! But, hey, what do you expect from a police department that will hire a person who is at least 21, has a high school diploma or GED, with no major felonies, CLEET (Council for Law Enforcement Education and Training) certification not required. Pay a meanial $25,000 a year!

The cop trying to shoot the snake from the tree? Yea as a retired officer that's more than embarassing thankfully the police departments are hiring and training officers better. That story was just sickening but don't classify all by the few bad apples.

Sad isn't it? I live about an hour from that little town. I don't think that cop is very old though! Yep, the snake was in a tree!
