What do you sportsters prefer, male or female, and why?  I am curious what people prefer to work and why.

male, because I prefer the opposite sex. Thanks for asking though. LOL

use to be females--i found them easier to deal with,

now i will work any dog as long as it has the drives i like and a very willing attitude to do the work.

I always found females easier to deal with too.  They learn a bit quicker too.  You don't hear about handler aggression as much with a female also.  Don't get me wrong, I had a female come back up the leash on me when we were working on the retrieve, but it is heard of less than with males. 

Gard is the luckiest man I know!

I like my boys!  In both human's and dogs!  Though I'm working both a male and a female at the moment.  I just tend to work better with the boys for some reason!

Regarding the dogs, I don't usually have a preference unless their is a reason to. Like breeding or a male might be too big out of that litter. I tend to like the looks of males better, I also like the larger size, however my females have always been the best dogs in the end. I will be getting a  female next. I'm getting to old to fight big, hard headed, males all day long!
