Hashim

This topic has been beaten to a pulp.  Search the messageboard.  There are numerous posts on this topic.  You can get some ideas from those.  I personally would only go to a well known and reputable breeder there.  Do some research, find some breeders and maybe come back here and ask if anyone has had relations.

Why do you need to buy in Germany,,,we've got plenty here....Shelley S has some great working pups ready and on this site for sale...and lots of experience and reputation goes with that...read the thread on the Pups right in your backyard....

the easiest and savest way is to make a bank to bank wire transfer

Unless you know the kennel and/or breeder on personal terms I don't think there is a truely safe way.  We've all read horror stories here of funds paid and no dog, wrong dog, sick dog, no papers with dog.  On the flip side, we've bought two from overseas, both were using wire transfer, both transactions went easily and we received what we expected.

Do some research on the seller.

I like the Red, White and Blue, and I believe in keeping it here....in the USA

Technically the only truly fool-proof mode is if you go there in person, look at the dog's papers and verify the tattoo in the dog's ear, then pay cash and leave with your dog and your papers.  That being said, I have bought many dogs from Germany, and never had a problem with any of the breeders I dealt with there.  But I have had friends who were not so lucky.  It is a fair question to ask other members of the board if they have dealt with the person who is trying to sell you the dog.

Yellowrose, for crying out loud, the guy asked about safe modes of payment, not where he could get a pup.  He's obviously decided he wants something from Germany, and that is his decision - don't need to red-letter him.  And strangely enough, there are some very nice dogs to be had in Germany .
