Has anyone ever collected and stored their own fresh semen with out a vet? If so, how? I am looking to collect my own male and store myself but not sure if it can be done.
Also, a long time ago, the first time I ever did an AI and was at my vets, we collected the male and the vet looked briefly under microscope to see if there where any swimmers. He did not look at the "count" just if there where viable sperm. He also said that caffeine tends to wake them up after being frozen.
