Amigo vom Bracheler See - Page 1

Does anyone know if this dog is still alive and or has he been "collected"? He was born in 1994, so it is doubtful if he is still around, but if someone knows (or knew) the owner of the dog then it would be helpfull.

He was used in Germany with some strong progeny, but no one seems to know anything more about him being around.

Amigo was sold to Carl West of New Mexico, unfortunately for Carl Amigo passed away shortly after arriving. Amigo was used extensively by Herbert Born.

I do not believe he was collected, but his grandchildren are showing the same drives and temperaments as there parents. Best of luck in your quest.

Mike Diehl has a Amigo son.

Hajada, I happen to have an Amigo daughter, Forma von der Berger Hochburg, she has the same mother and father as Mike's Eick, just a different litter.  I couldn't be happier, she has produced two very good litters with Xwaldo vom Haus Antverpa.  If you should need further you can email direct.  Thanks, David Robinson

Thanks for the info on Amigo. What a bummer that must have been to get him here and he passed right after he got here, that must have sucked. I feel for him that is for sure, hopefully the seller (Hervert) made things "right" with him......

Eick is a really nice dog and I like him a lot, I did not even realize until later on that he was an Amigo son. I was interested in getting a puppy from Herbert @ Schiffslache from one of his Amigo sons as I like the crosses that he produces. He flat out produces some over the top dogs that I have even seen in some KNPV trials in Holland. Amigo was an intense dog that reproduced himself well, IMHO.

I would jump on a WG Breeding with Eick that I liked, but Mike has been breeding him with Czech females that are nice too, but I like one or the other, not both. I know some people really like the WG Top and the Czech Bottom, but for me I like on or the other but not a mix of both. And I really like Czech Dogs, own one. I will have to say all of the Eick/Czech Line litters I have seen have been nice so what do I know? LOL

I would not hesitate to buy a puppy from Mike Diehl (one of the good guys) and Eick is one of the better stud dogs in the US. I see a lot of "Other" breeders are using him now as well, so the Eick Kool-Aid must be good...............

Any opinions on the best producing Amigo son so far?

HaJaDa, we are expecting pups out of a daughter to a full sister of Aron/Amigo. She is an Evi Bracheler See daughter. Evi was an LGA competitor, top quality bitch. Sorry, the above post was a Amigo Son that is now being used in Germany.

Amigo has 79 Progeny listed vs Aron with like 248 Progeny listed here if that is correct. Aron was certainly used more than his brother. From all of the information I have been getting, Amigo produced A LOT of police dogs, more so than his brother.
