I previously purchased many dogs from Iosif at Hutweide Kennels, and always received very healthy dogs, lots of drive, and the paperwork came quickly.  We were very satisified and gave lots of good references for this kennel.

This last year I purchased many pups from Iosif.  Now it seems something has changed with this kennel.  After almost a year, I have yet to receive the papers.  Most of my emails are not even answered.  If they are answered, its with some lame excuse.  The last excuse was he had sent the papers to me twice, but they were returned to him for bad address.  Now I have not moved and my address is the same address that I have had for 7 years, and the same address he used before to send me my papers on previous dogs.  I have even told him to send the papers via FedEx or UPS and I would pay for the shipping on my end COD.  Of course there was no answer to this.

I dont want to cause Iosif any trouble.  I have considered all the numerous reasons that could cause papers to be late.  All he has to do is email me and tell me the truth.  I feel I could wait as long as I know the papers are coming.  I know he enjoyed the money I sent him as his wife told me he went to Germany to buy a new car.  Anyway, I am not sure what to do now.  He owes me papers on 7 dogs.  I have considered an attorney.  Is it to soon?  I dont want to be unreasonable, I just want my papers he promised.  I am beginning to equate this with the tranaction I previously had with Anitia Szitas.  I swear I attract these kind of people.  I thought I was being careful and I trusted him since we had previously worked together.

Since Iosif wont answer my emails, I am reaching out to the board for whatever help, ideas I can get.  I paid good money for the dogs and just want the papers.

Thanks in Advance

Jan

Jan, In most cases such as this he probably cant get the papers for some reason, or you would have received them. Dont know what the breeding was / who owns dogs / etc. You have 2 choices pay him a visit or hire an Attorney and pray your sales contract is well written. Lotsa Luck with this one. VB

Thank you, 4 of the dogs are from his kennel with a couple sired by his stud.  The other 3 are from another kennel.

This year he has started requesting the money be sent to his fiance's account.  The dogs are also in a 3rd person's name.  Nothing has his name on it anymore even though they are from his kennel.  I did receive papers for 2 dogs this past year.  The health records did not match the paperwork sent and the birthdates were several months off.  I had already received the dogs by the time the papers say they were born.  I have begged and pleaded with him to please just tell me the truth and I could work with him to work this out.  The only reply is the papers have been sent.  I ask for a tracking # but there is no reply.

My worst fears are coming true.  I guess my only option is to get an attorney.  I just didnt want to jump to soon, but a year is long enough.

Thanks for your advice.  Jan ;-)

Jan you say: “This year he has started requesting the money be sent to his fiance's account.  The dogs are also in a 3rd person's name.  Nothing has his name on it anymore even though they are from his kennel.”

Wow that a lone is a red flag, well for me that is. I wonder why his name isn't on the papers? And why is he requesting that the money by sent to his finances account? I dunno... To me I would feel uncomfortable as a buyer to have a seller request these things on me.

I think you should contact SV and let them know about this issue that your having with the vom Hutweude kennels. I'm sure they can help you.

Britanny:

What does the SV have to do with that? They do not police any breeders and will always tell you to take it to a lawyer if necessary.

Besides, this kennel in question is not even in Germany.

I bought a bitch from this kennel and also paid a lot of money. He was told what documents I needed to register my bitch in South Africa. Needless to say, 2 1/2 years later I am still waiting! He refuses to answer and give me information that will help me to get the documents zI need. It is breeders like him who give us all a very bad name. What is the benefit in buying a well bred dog with bloodlines you need if the dog cannot be registered? Also the Romanian Kennel Club cannot give the documents so I am sure he is not breeding legitimate litters. Dawn

I received 5 of the 7 pedigrees, but they are not export pedigrees.  I have asked Hutweide if I can appy for the export pedigrees myself, but there has been no reply.  Imagine that.  Anyway,  does someone know if I can apply for the export pedigrees and where I send it.  I also emailed the Romanian Kennel Club, but have received no reply from them either.  I have done this with the Hungarian Kennel Club.  I just sent my written request with my credit card # for billing and sent the pedigrees to them.  Hopefully I can do the same with the Romanian Kennel Club.  I sure would like to see the nightmare end.  Any help sure would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Jan ;-)
