I don't understand how this is designed. It looks like it is on the dog's flank? Does anyone maybe have a pic of a dog wearing one?

The spelling is slightly off. No L in there.
It is attached to the dogs collar, the rest loops around the dogs belly.

DH-Thank you. Is it like a side rein on a horse to place the head into position? What I mean is the part that goes underneath from collar to belly strap a stationary length? Or does loosen and contract with the pressure or lack thereof from the lead? Hope that makes sense.

It's a set length, not an elastic like many side reins. It is designed to help keep the head down as it's attached to the fur saver. The loosen and tighten pressure is based on how tight the line is held or how hard the dog it pulling. The line runs between the backlegs. I like using a bottcher harness as it lets my dog know exactly what we are getting ready to do.
