Does anyone have an example of what tight feet look like vs. feet that are not tight?  I'm not entirely sure of the difference between the two.

Wow, it's hard to find pictures that show a dog's feet clearly! Most are standing on grass, so the feet are hidden!  Here's my rescue, who has splayed feet, not that they've  ever been a problem to him:

My puppy OTOH has nice tight feet, but I really dont have a good picture of her. Here's the best I can do...she has both feet left feet off the ground, unfortunately!

for an explanatory I would describe

Tight feet = NO space between toes when the dog is standing.  and would appear shaped like a pear the back of the foot being the bottom of the pear and the front toes being the stem.

Loose feet = Spacing between the toes and a splayed out look appearing more rounded if you drew around the foot like we used to in school.

Hope that will some too,  Like Sunsilver said hard to get good pics to illustrate such.

Um does my dogs have this tight/lose feet? I took these pictures today after reading this post :)

I'll let you conformation people figure it out :) No worries.. I wont get my feelings hurt if theirs anything wrong :D

By the way if you need a retake on the feet, let me know and I'll happy to do retakes :)

I'll take a wild guess on my dogs feet before I start getting some replies :)

I assume Jake has the lose feet and Zambi has more of a tight feet. Am I right or wrong? I'd be the first one to admit that I don't know much about the conformation :(

top photo are bordering on loose,  bottom photo more leaning toward tight.    :-)

So EchoMeadows, In the world in conformation (SV) which is better ? The lose feet or the tight feet? I assume tight is what the judges are looking for?

In my opinion, and it is just that, MY OPINION, it looks like jake has some easty-westy thing going on, what do you think Brittany?

Naya's Mom, I honestly do not understand what you mean about Jake having the easty-westy thing? can you elaborate so I can better understand you?

easty-westy: feet naturally face outward or away from eachother rather than straight/parallel.
