Lately there has been alot of talk about people who breed before they even have any clue on what is needed before you breed. All the newbies who do this or are thinking about it watch this and just maybe one of your pups will wind up in this situatiion. There are alot of excellent breeders out there but even those pups can wind up in a place like this too when they are older.

Thank you for posting this here.  I hope it's a real eye opener for some people.  Heartbreaking.

It is too bad the millions of people on the streets can't see that video.  That would really open some eyes.

That  video brought tears running down my cheeks.  I have saved that for when I ever need it.  I hope many people have watched it, and I hope everyone who breeds take note where there dogs go.  I would not like any of my dogs to end up in shelters.  We always say to people who have our dogs/puppies if something happens where they can not have the dogs/puppies anymore then please give them back to us to rehome them, NO questions asked.

How awful. I do believe if I decide I want another dog someday it will have to be a rescue. I just don't understand how anyone can do that to another living creature yet so many people do. No wonder I like animals more than people....

On a similar note. How many of you have made arrangements for your dogs to be taken care of if (God Forbid) something should happen to you?  Someone you would trust implicitly to see to your dogs' welfare?. What about financial arrangement for their care?  I think I have all this covered in both my will and my living will..  Something to think about.

Wow, that was hard to see without crying. It is so sad to look into the eyes of these beautiful animals and see, "fear, sadness, betrayal and lonelyness". I have always found that when I rescued a dog from a shelter or even one discarded in the street they have a sense of gratitude, or at least that is what I see in their eyes.  It's as though they know you are there to help them. After some time  you wil begin to see life  and happiness in their eyes, and that alone is so rewarding. I too have saved this video to send to as many of my friends as possible, I think that this message should be shown everywhere.

Anyway in answer to ProudShepherdPoppa, yes I have thought about where my dogs would go if I passed. I think that it is a very good idea to arrange these things while we can. Just remember we don't want the face of our beloved one to end up on a video like this one.

God Bless you jettasmom and all those that work in shelters...

Both my kids want my dogs, when I go to rainbow bridge. With the dogs comes the money!!!!! My Mom also has her dog coming to me, my Daughters dog also comes to me. All of our dogs are protected before anyone else.
