I forgot the gellatin packs to make satin balls with. Does anyone know if I can still make it without? I really don't want to go back to the store.

I don't think the gelatin is what holds it together but it is what ads a source of nutrient for joints & cartilage.

Well I wasn't sure if it was in there to bind it or for nutritional value. I can't see allot of anything in gelatin. I ended up cutting the amount in half. I wanna test it out first before making 10lbs and using up about all of my eggs in the house. I was at the store and found ground beef really cheap and got 10lbs and decided to make the satin balls up. Well without a list ready I tried my best to remember what I needed to buy. I messed up on the jar of wheat germ and bought flax instead. I said to hell with it and just used that instead anyway. Next time I will hunt down the joint and cartilage gelatin I have heard about. By the way that made 3 stores I went to today to get everything I needed. What I wouldn't do for my dogs.
GARD gets pissed because I wont even go down to the local store and buy soda once in awhile. But let's not make this about who's more important!
What the hell is wheat germ anyway? All it said was 1 jar, not how many ounches or anything. Is it oil or in a powder? This recipe kinda sucks when it comes to detail. Anyone else have a different way to make Satin Balls?
