I have kept two pupps from the same litter, both are female and about the same wieght and size. They are 17 weeks and 3 days. They are from working lines.
Which one would you pick and why?

Both are nice looking and look rather confident up off the ground. I couldn't choose by the pics you show. Would need to work the pups on a rag and mess with them in person to know. Is one more confident or have a better grip? One not regrip/counter? Any have issues the other does not?

Hey, I got the pictures up !!!!!!!! Both are rather good at bite work Ozzy has a firm grip while Starling counters . Both have strong prey, foodand ball. Ozzy is more alpha scored mostly 1s and 2 as a 8 wk while Starling was more 3 and 2s.

Dont take this the wrong way,,but i would never chose a pup on color alone. as i was told long ago,, color wont get you any xtra points on the working field.
who has the better overall drives, temperment, and work ethic? that is the one i would chose.

No not taking it the wrong way but was wanting more on structure (Guess I should of been more clear on this)
Coloring is like frosting on a cake - IF the cake it's self is bad there is no amount of whipped frosting that is going to change that.

Whew, tough choice! Both are fine looking dogs. Ozzy looks to be a little more athletic, nice croup and turn of stifle. If absolutel forced, he would be my choice. More likely though I would figure a way to have both .LOL

PSP - I would love to keep both but ..... raising two pups is a lot of work. I have 2 more months of conditioning before I really have to decide. It will be hard. Thanks for your imput.

I think you answered yourself in the post with the pictures. Give it the two more months though to see if thing change. Both are nice looking youngsters.

I love the depth on pup 2 heavier boned, deeper chest, larger lung capacity, lower tail set, Or appears that way from the photos anyway,
pup 1 has a bit better shoulder angle, but looks just a tad bit weeker over the wither.
Hope my Observations of the photos don't offend you that is not the intent, it is just what I can see from the photos.
I do agree with animules give yourself the two more months and evaluate them again.
either way best of luck with them, they are both very good looking girls !
