I am wanting to enter my dogs into a show for next month

now on the entry form it states that

1st entry per exhibit for breeds with CCs,Veteran andChampionStakes @£23.00

1st entry per exhibit for breeds without CCs,AVNSC,ImportedRegister andNFC @£12.00

so my immediate thing is to apply for the 12pound rate as neither of my two girls have won cc's

I wrote and asked and was told to enter online which we tried to do we then found they would only accept entries for dogs at the 23 pound rate when we again wrote and asked what was going on why we could not enter our dogs in the catergory they should be in as not winning any CC's or such we then get told this

You appear to have misunderstood the entry fee structure.

It is of no consequence whether or not your dog has previosuly won a CC.

If there are CCs on offer for the BREED then the first entry per DOG is £23.00.

If there are no CCs on offer for the BREED then the first entry per DOG is £12.00.

But nowhere on the entry form does it say that!!!!!!! somehow I dont think I have misunderstood, it is plain for me to see on the entry form the above and other entries that I have entered for other shows state the same and I have entered my girls in the section with no CC's at the lower Rate and have never been told I have underpaid or that in the case of CC's being present I must now pay such and such a rate.

So is this club crooking me or am I being seriously blonde as my friend said she thought I was being cheated too as she has never heard of what this guy is saying before and she has entered many shows in her life

Hi, I assume you are talking about a general UK championship show, if so if CC's are on offer for the breed German Shepherd, ie allowing you to make your dog into a champion and you'll see that by the name and classes on offer for the breed then yes you have to pay the higher price, if there are no CC's on offer for the breed in which case its classed as an open show as there are no qualifying classes for Crufts you pay the lower level. Unfortuanately this has been the case for years and years, some breeds dont yet have CC status so they automatically pay the lower level. I hope this helps.
