I have some sad news to report. A friend of mine who works at my trainer's kennel was raped this morning in Key West. She is 72 years old. She has two gsd's. One is personal protection and the other is a puppy she was holding for her grandson that she got from our trainer. This was the first time EVER she went out walking ONLY the puppy and did not take the trained dog with her. Fortunately she is going to be ok and the guy who did this was caught and confessed. Unfortunately, the puppy that she was out walking at the time this happened is missing. She is tatooed. The police are looking for her as are many many citizens. Flyers are passed out. All vets and shelter notified. Someone has this pup. Please say a prayer that this pup is found and returned. We're all just heartbroken down here that this happened, and of course our friend is beside herself thinking she's responsible for the pup being missing. |

Oh my goodness! I hope she is okay and the vermin is put away for a very long time. I hope they find the puppy, she doesn't need that on top of everything else. Prayers to her.

So sorry policemom! I wish she had her PPD with her too! I will be sending all the good thoughts I can for the safe return of the puppy and your friends healing from this senseless tragedy.

Poor woman.....what an awful thing! I hope that puppy is found! Perhaps if you post a description of the puppy and his tattoo # on this and other boards that would help! My prayers go out to her & her pup, and her grandson, who must also be upset. jo

That's Horrific !!
Policemom, going through a missing dog experience myself, I'll offer you this, I've had great results with this, No we have not yet found our dog, But I've gotten 300 calls over the past 3 weeks. We took a photo of the dog, pasted it 4x's on one sheet of paper, added the phone number under each photo, and wrote Please keep this at the top, and printed them at the printers for every 100 copies you get 400 4x4 size flyers, we then have been Taping them to mail box fronts, It's not Illegal to do that here, Anyway Best of luck finding that baby, and I hope this lady will not blame herself, and wish her a speedy recovery from the awful incident.

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. I made a mistake, she is not tatooed. Here is her picture. I know all gsd pups look alike, but if anyone sees this dog on south florida please let me know.

policewoman, all pups are very cute, but this is a (to me) very distinctive looking puppy. i would hope this will make it easier to find and harder for someone to just keep her. again, prayers to your friend and for the recovery of the pup.
