Does anyone know where I can buy a German Shepherd Dog in Japan? I live in Sapporo, Hokkaido. people in Japan tend to like smaller dogs, but I have seen pics of them in kennel clubs here. I f anyone has info, would appreciate. Thanks

In the Kennels & Breeders list on this site only one breeder registered their Japanese kennel in Takatsuki-city Osaka. There website is www.beepworld.de/members99/hausschwarzenberg/ It's mostly in German but the breeder has translations at the bottom of his home page. Otherwise check around on the Internet or you can import from Europe or America.

Hi Mikey, There is only one kennel listed in Japan on this site (look at left tab "Breeders and Kennels"). Here is the link to their kennel. The website says they are located in Osaka. Good luck to you with your search http://www.beepworld.de/members99/hausschwarzenberg/index.htm

you can import a dog yourself, contact me if you need help with that or check out the dog shows and speak to the people that show their dogs there, take home a catalogue for addresses etc.
or get in touch with the Japan Kennel Club for GSD breeder contacts, or a GSD breed club
