Heres a short essential way to post pictures here :)
Requirements: An account at photobucket.com (It's FREE) a Brian (FREE) and account here at pedigreedatabase (FREE) :)
After you uploaded your picture(s) you will see a thumbnail picture of your uploaded picture.
Go back to the message board where you want to post a picture at :)
It will give you a popup (MAKE SURE TO ALLOW POPUPS ON THIS SITE, IF YOU HAVE A POPUP BLOCKER RUNNING!)
After you paste your URL Link.. it should give you a preview look at your picture.. if it does it.. click on OK and then it should give you the picture that you want to share with people :)
Let me know (either by replying or emailing me) if you have any furthur problems with posting pictures here.

Brittany, photos can be uploaded directly from your computer. I posted the instuctions on the other thread about headshots. No photo bucket or other picture hosting required. No pasting of links required, either.

triodegirl,
This is the way is to save a lot of bandwidth so that Oli doesn't have to pay a forunte to the webhosting company :)

(1) Click the image button which opens a window;
(2) Click the "upload" tab to open selected files on you computer;
(3) Click on the selected photo within that file;
(4) Then, click "send it to the server";
(5) You will receive that the message has been successfully uploaded;
(6) If you like the thumbnail preview, click OK--and the photo will appear on you message;
(7) Click "submit comment" button!!
This is little different that uploading a photo when you register a new dog or submit an updated photo of that dog--or creating a gallery. No photo hosting URL required--plus better resolution. Do try to use your photo editing software resize your photo to roughly 600x400 pixels before uploding it to this site. No Gargantuan dogs need apply!!

Uploading photos to the server takes up TONS of memory space, which Olli has to pay his ISP to provide. I shudder to think of the Gigabytes taken up by the two recent threads. Would be nice feature to be able to simply post the IMG link. That way the pic does not reside on the server but is simply downloaded from wherever it is stored, (like photobucket) into a temp file on your computer for viewing when it is needed.

zmcbba,
did a little research and found out you need to use firefox browser so the editor will work for you. safari is not 100% compatible with the editor.
