This began just after I returned from the 2007 North Americans. I live in a small town in Maine. I have been training and exercising my dogs in the Public Recreation Field for over two years without any complaints. There is rarely people there. Yes, I do train Schutzhund. I also train GSD's for handicapped persons and law enforcement. The only training that I do in the Public Recreation Field is Obedience, never in conflict with anyone else who uses the fields. I train motivationally, no electric, NEVER! When I go there with my dogs, if there are people there, I leave. Plain & simple, I just leave. I do not like conflict. I retired to the State Of Maine to be at peace with my GSD's. NYC was too fast pace and my disabilities began to get worse having been subjected to breathing the dust from the twin towers going down. I have emphysema. I have had numerous spinal surgeries. I have been 100 % disabled since 1988. I have a handicapped parking placard. Life is not a bowl of cherries for me but I am not going to cry the blues here. There are people who have HIV........who am I to complain? Allot of you folks out there know me. The people in the GSD world, who really know me, know I don't pull any punches. I call it as I see it. Sometimes I can be a little abrasive and arrogant, but if anything, I am completely honest. It's not what you say, it's how you say it! I admit I am not a master at that. When I am right and just, I will go to the ends of the earth to defend my rights and my dogs’ rights. About a year ago, I learned that being a handicapped/disabled person, I can have a Service Animal. I researched the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and decided to utilize Blitz as my service dog. With that I trained my GSD Xablitz to do numerous tasks for me and be my PAD (Personal Assistance Dog) http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/494536.html
