Hi everyone, lots of valid responses on my last food thread.I am considering putting my 2 boys on a food called Fromm 4 Star Nutritional-Duck and Sweet Patato and would like to hear of anyone who has fed OR is feeding this type of higher grade food.Im personally NOT impressed with companies like Eagle Pack especially when I CANT get a straight answer from there so called nutritionist for a legitimate question and concern that i had after noticing something related to there enzyme blend along with another fat issue i had with what i was feeding before (Fish-Patato diet),

Interesting, Eagle does not have a fish and potatoe formula. Surely you cannot expect a company to comment on a food they do not produce.
What are the issues you had regarding the food you fed before? Have you had a response from the makers of Fromm? Not so sure what the benefit of Real Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese would be in a dog food other than for marketing purposes, but kudos to a company that actually lists the whole analysis instead of just excerpts and basic ingredients. They have different lines if that one you are looking at does not fit your dogs needs. Looks like a decent food, decent company concept, seems worth a test.

DH,I assure you that Eagle Pack makes a fish formula. If you must have the exact name,Anchovy,Sardine and Salmon-and Oatmeal.I cannot for the life of me understand why they would of left out the Lipase in that formula.Even there own people were shocked when i pointed it out.As far as the Wisconsin cheese in the Fromm,I would rather it Not in it,but i guess its there for taste.

Domenic, you mentioned a fish and potatoe food. Eagle only has a fish and oats formula. Not the same.
No idea who you talked to, a sales person might not have been able to answer that question, you should have spoken to someone in the appropriate deparement.
Lipase is an enzyme that digests fat. The probiotics, which are supplemented to all the Eagle formulas, produce the enzymes needed for digestion and that also includes lipase. If you look in their supplement section, the Bacillus Subtillus Fermentation Solubles are what will aid in fat digestion and form lipase. It is not supplemented as the enzyme form, it is supplemented as a probiotic which will then form the necessary enzymes.
