I live in Southern Illinois there doesnt seem to be any clubs near me and I would like to find someone in my
area that is reputable, so I can learn. If anybody has any info I would be be greatful. By the way I am a rookie.

Hi Marty
I'm in Marion and there are no clubs around here that I know of. I believe there is a club in St. Louis. There is also a couple who live in or near Carbondale who train schutzhund, SAR and Police K9. They train with E Collars. Some like the idea, some don't. I don't so I've never bothered to learn more about them. If you would be interested I can find her name. She and her husband are heavily involved in police training. I believe her husband teaches for MTU 13 and she trains K9s.

Go look on Schutzhund Usa's website. There is a list of clubs in every region. It will list the contact person and how to get ahold of them.

We might be related, I was born in Herrin and my family is all from Cambria, Herrin, and Marion.
Sorry about if being off topic, just not towns you see in print very often! If Lawdog's family has been in that area for a couple of generations we are probably cousins or fueding! Nice to know which one. Maybe even both.

Lawdog the club in Stlouis seems to be a good one, I just was looking for something a little closer.
I looked on Shutzhund Usa's website and there was nothing in my area. As for the ecollar I dont know
is that a pretty widley used training device for schutzhund. Dont get me wrong I have used one when I
was afraid dog was going to get hit by a car driving down my driveway.
