I've heard of it before.

It must be very hard on the dogs health both mentally and physically. To never have the time to bond or settle in or to get bonded and then ripped away again.

Thats one of the questions a Vet addressed today on the Fox news.....and a dog is back and forth and how does anyone know if a health issue is up, and how safe is this to the health of a pet?

I know with some dogs they just wouldn't care, but I wonder if there is any problems with depression or dogs withdrawing into themselves.

My mom passed away recently and both her dogs came here, of course. Her Aussie, who had been here off and on, settled right in happy as can be. Her Kelpie X,  who had lived here for six months before going to my mom, was withdrawn, depressed and  prone to hiding out for two weeks. For dogs like her being moved around a lot would be very tramatic.

I would think being shifted from various homes &constantly exposed to new people would be difficult for even the most easy going of dogs.  I think they are creatures of habit & need the stability of their pack.

Sounds to me like a great  recipe for a neurotic dog.

Those people renting the dogs could volunteer at a shelter...  They could sign up as "foster" care givers until dogs could find new homes,

But then the guy with this "business" would make no money,  We should not deny him his way of feeding his family.

(I figured I should say that too,  I know it will come up as a way of argument thought I'll save you the trouble)

Who really cares about the guy and his profits. What about the poor animals who will never have a forever home? What about the feeling of always being shipped back and forth, put yourself in their place! What if say your married and have beutiful children and all the sudden because your family does'nt have the time or the money to care and support you, you have to be taken from them and start over with someone new every so often. would you want that for yourself  or your loved ones? I DONT THINK SO!! Why do it to animals who cant even speak or stand up for themselves? You have to be their voice!

what about those poor prostitutes never getting any love?  They go from motel to motel, never really having a permanent bed?

LOL.

I just read an article about this. The owner said that they try to keep the rotations to 3 homes or so per dog....
