THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF THE INTERNET!!!!! Gotta love it!!!!! I was curious, How many of you have recieved these emails from SCAM artists? Is this a common problem when attempting to sell dogs on the internet? I believe I have one now! I will give you all every bit of info I find out on this person as soon as I know all the facts. Just curious if you have run into this before.

If they are wanting to send you money orders for more than what you are asking for. It is a scam. Do not do it. We just about caught them once, but just missed them. If they send you the money orders, they will be fake and they will be from the post office. Good luck.

they often say something like.... I am going to send you 6000 and if you could then forward the balance on to my agent who will be picking up the dog... etc etc. I have gotten two of these e-mails. One of them asked for very specific information which you should of course not disclose. Good luck and sorry this happened to you.

Lisa and Mark,
Thank you so much for the reponse!!!!!!! Lisa you were right on it. This person was wanting to send me $2250.00 over asking price for the pup. And then wanting me to send the money VIA Western Union to his "agent". He said he was going to send me an International check and upon recieving the check he is going to give me the information (address) of the "agent". I'm still going to try to get an address though it probably won't do any good to report it. I can't believe people are using this site here for their fraud. Did ya'll recieve fraudulent e-mail responses from this site here? Thank so much for responding ya'll!!!!!! Look forward to hearing from you guys!!!!!!!
Kelly.

I just got an e-mail like this from someone, regarding our FREE dog. They said they would be sending us a Money Order for $3400 and that all we had to do was cash it, keep the amount we were charging for the dog (she was FREE, lol) and then they would cover shipping arrangements and costs.... it's like they just generate e-mails without paying attention to who they send them to!

We did get cut up in a scam, we had some money orders come to our address and they were defintly fake money orders, so we contacted our local post office, they did nothing. We also contacted the FCC , gave them all of our e-mails from them , they wanted the money orders but the post office would not give them back to us to pass them on.,so it ended there.Best of luck,if we can be of any help, let us know. Thanks Mark

It's been going on years and some of the clever responses playing along with it are hilarious. I think here will tell you more. www.419eater.com/.
Some sites monitor supposed buyers emails before forwarding them on to the seller. It cuts down on it all if the only channel of communication is on the site.
