allaboutthedawgs

by allaboutthedawgs on 11 June 2007 - 17:06

Before I begin, let me say this is publicly posted on the board because you continually bring it up on the board. I'm not saying any of this to be an asshole but you really should reconsider the persecution syndrome. come on, don't get so frustrated when no one understands or agrees with your posts. No one understands or agrees with anyone's posts here! :)

I teach my kids a simple rule. If you want to be respected; be respectable. What I mean to say is, you have to try to relate to people in such a way that they will give standing to your view, if not agreement. I respect many people I don't agree with because they make thoughtful comments and present them in a reasoned way.  Many of us (me included, don't get me wrong) have taken the occasional dive into the pig slop. The question is how many times do we do it before we are tired of the smell?

My point is, if you want to be taken  seriously,  you've got to seriously review your style of posting. In the previous thread alone you inserted 82 repeat punctuation marks. Yes, I did count them to make my point, I have no life. :)  You know as well as I that postings lend themselves to interpretation in many ways. To me, it seems that 82 punctuation marks (and rambling sidetracks) give the impression of a wild haired prophet on a street corner. Flailing his arms about wildly and shouting about the end of the world. This may not be the image you want to portray.

Unfortunately, it is easy to mistake passion in a person with emotional instability.  I think this may happen to you at times, though I don't believe it to be the case.  But, you shouldn't react so much to it. The majority of your posts, of late, are laced with self pity and sarcasm. It makes you become the thing you most resent and only serves to give others justification of their opinion of you.

Please give these ideas some thought.

Regards,

Dawg

This sent as a private email may have been the way to get your point across. JMO.

Perhaps, you're right. I reasoned that a complaint rendered in public should be addressed in public.

Working Dogs

Yes, but not yet another crap thread wasting bandwidth! At least if the self-gratification threads were kept as 1 thread and brought out when low self esteem prevailed at least it could be avoided by the sane masses who prefer dog talk rather than participating in a mutual 'I am superb and a saint, fest'

HTH.

Certainly not superb or a saint. Never implied otherwise; simply tired of hearing the same song. And am, by no means, the only one to have addressed it.

Can't help but notice the bandwidth you are using in replying to a crap thread in order to help your low self esteem with an insult. How ironic. Especially since your name isn't Echo.

As I said, perhaps Policemom was right that it should have been sent as private email. But, since you feel the need to prolong the thread; have at it. I had my say, am reconsidering if it was a mistake to have done it publicly and that is the end of it.

First off I never implied you were the guilty party except to imply Policemom was correct in that you should have taken it off-line OR put it with the ample threads already started on the same subject. It's not rocket science is it.

I agree with me wasting bandwidth replying but as I've sat back like a lot of people and watched the children play, I thought I'd just say my bit. I shan't be saying anymore on the subject as this thread needs to sink, like the rest of the inane rubbish.

My name doesn't need to be Echo to reply on a public messageboard. Had you used email privately then there would be no replies here.

allabout the dogs, of course your welcome to email me anytime,  but I take no offense to anything you've posted here.

I once again will apologize for any misunderstandings of the post I've made,  (there is alot of that going around)

But,   as you I also have an opinion,  it may or may not be valid for anyone else,  but it's valid for me and thought I would share it,  though I am beginning to think it would not matter anymore what I said, or even how,  it would be perceived by those who wish to in a fashion that is less becoming.    But maybe for a single person my opinion will have meaning as well as everyone elses.  But maybe not.

No hard feelings here.

some people like to argue, when your dog isn't working, put him in his kennel for a time out.... someone here needs a time out.... or a binky.   And just as an FYI, there were more than a couple punctuation, spelling errors and gramatical errors in YOUR post dawg.
