Hi everyone in the UK

What do people think to the League's proposals regarding the re-allocation of CC's ?

I believe they offer the greatest opportunity for decades to revitalise our GSD Show scene here in the UK, something very much required, and consequently this will revitalise our GSD breed in the UK, again something which is definitely needed.

I have one major concern, and that is APATHY, which is now endemic within our Show scene and our breed here in the UK.

When APATHY is so entrenched, it destroys opportunities at their earliest stage.

APATHY is when most turn their backs and say, "I'll just wait and see what happens" or "what can I do? - nothing!"

EVERYBODY within our breed, or connected with our breed here in the UK is IMPORTANT - get off your arses and shout your support for the GSD Leagues dynamic proposals. They are our best opportunity for the future.

The Kennel Club will simply reduce our CC's if nothing is done, and the spiralling into oblivion of out Show scene will continue unabated.

If anyone has some alternative constructive and carefully thought out proposals - let us see them

I will NOT respond to anonymous postings.

I am not surprised to see that only David has replied to my question .... perhaps as he suggests many of the UK's GSD exhibitors are indeed apathetic and are only concerned for themselves and not the future of the breed. Whilst I personally feel there are several good points covered in the League's proposal I am not convinced  that simply re-allocating CC's to different club's will solve the problem of dwindling entries. I believe you could hold a show anywhere in the country at any time and as long as you have a trustworthy judge and organising committee people would attend. Exhibitors however , will not waste their hard earned cash on entries or travelling to a show where the results are already a foregone conclusion.
