Hello , i have bougth a female from a German kennel, and recently i found that she has a problem in her teeth. The problem is that her "up" teeths are more in the front than the "down" teeths. She is 2 months.
Í think it is overbite.
It's possible that it could be fix by herself,or it is going to be always like that.
you can see a photo here : http://img117.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p1000092lz0.jpg
And it's a problem for the shows ? Thank You

TOO EARLY to detect problems... hes still teething...all those baby teeth will be replaced by hopefully large pemanent teeth... just check wether the orientation of the lowerjaw is enough to meet with the upperjaw and does not overshoot...

"just check wether the orientation of the lowerjaw is enough to meet with the upperjaw and does not overshoot..."
I think if you get a more detail image, you have to save in your computer and then maximize you'll see what i'm talking about. The lowerjah central teeths don't met with upperjah central teeth.

And the upperjaw (gengive), is more on the front than the lowerjaw, you can see it on the photo.
Marci , what does you mean with overshoot. Sorry i'm not so good on english

The problem is not on the teeth, is in the gengive. The upperjaw is more in the front that the lowerjaw.
Please if you know some more help me
Thank you

The teeth you see does not need to match either on the upper or down the lower jaw... Some of them may have been plucked out already and good because it will give way to better and bigger permanent teeth... time to give the pup plenty of RAW bones to CHEW... add some CaPO4 supplements you will have verygood big mature teeth...same time the ears are growing up... plus dnt forget the Vitamin C. which is good for the gums...
The length and width of the lowerjaw should not EXCEED the upperjaw (overshoot)... and the lowerjaw not too far back (shorter) from the upper jaw (UNDERSHOOT)
Dont you worry... teeth problems are mostly GENETIC...
regards,
Marci

diogo.. the lower jaw is shorter right now but I don't think that bad. Alot of the time the lower jaw does grow slower and is corrected by about 8 months of age. Just keep an eye on it, maybe mention it to the breeder if your pup is guaranteed, but don't worry to much. Also watch that the puppy teeth are coming out as the adult teeth are coming in so they don't interfere with how the adult teeth come in. My pup just had to have a bottom puppy canine removed.
If the pup has an incorrect bite it will be a major fault in showing.
