HI, HE WAS BORN IN NOVEMBER 2005 THE AGE ON K9 STUD IS WRONG, MY SON POSTED THE AD. DDR IS EAST GERMAN BLOOD. SV IS THE GERMAN EQUEVELANT TO AKC. HE WAS XRAYED AND HAS GOOD HIPS AND ELBOWS. WHEN YOU EVALUATE HIS DRIVES AND BITE WORK AND HIS LOOKS YOU WILL UNDERSTAND HIS STUD FEE ESPECIALLY IF YOU OWNED TITLED AND GOOD DOGS BEFORE. THANK YOU POLICEMOM.

The dog is beautiful but looks aren't everything. Are his hips certified? X-rays mean nothing. For me a male used as a stud need to be titled. Just my opinion

Hi shepherd woman,

DDR basically means East German bloodlines. They tend to have big bones (& heads) and rich pigment. That 16 mo old DDR line is a very, very nice example of DDR lines.

The SV sort of stands for Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde, which translates into The German Shepherd Dog Club. The club was started by Captain Max von Stephanitz in 1899 and is the largest specialty club today. It is also a GSD registry, on many of the pedigrees on this database you'll see "SZ / 000" below the dog's picture, those dogs with an SZ before the number are registered with the SV. The SV is in Augsburg, Germany.
