I don't know what happened and neither do you, the only people who know are the seller and buyer.

Until the the draft is claimed.. IE CASHED OR DEPOSITED the writer of the draft can cancel it at ANY time. I have sent certified funds before and something not work out a couple of months down the road and cancel it. The money was put back in my account the same day minus a fee.

The OP -- Sounds like its hard to deny she had a issue. But until you can sit in a glass castle and not worry about rocks then don't throw any. If there is more to the story then OK Jenni needs to speak up but if Jenni just made a mistake and screwed the pooch then ok.. Get straight with the OP and move on.. Looks like your history ought to give you a buy in to make right?

a 'breeder' goes the extra miles and resolves the issues in court,
and that still isn't 'good enough' for some to see the glaring light.

When the OP tries to clear her
name and the rumors spread about her, she still gets drug through
the mud. Amazing. Yet, the 'breeder' has sat back and lied, claiming
she had paid the OP back, in fact stated it on many boards. Yet when
served with court papers, she runs to the bank and stops payment?
Then tries to 'negotiate' with the OP for repayment yet again through
various emails. There is one where she instructs the OP to go to the
courthouse and dismiss the case, then the 'breeder' will go ahead and
send her another check?

to appear in court to defend herself and show all this proof of abuse,
and never was able to deem it important enough? Now all of a sudden
this dog also had a broken jaw? I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe
that someone so detail oriented as the 'breeder' appears to make
herself out to be would omit blasting that all over the place too?
Simple xray would be all she needed to prove it right?
Seems to me the OP had 2 or 3 different ortho specialists evaluate the
xrays of this pup and by golly they all independently said 'genetic ED'?
I suppose those board certified specialists just didn't know what they
were talking about

Dog's do not lie, and it seems like the OP was taking that puppy
to training pretty regularily. Not like the pup was in hiding? Doesn't seem
like the OP didn't love the puppy or provide adequate care, she didn't seem
to ever hesitate to take the pup to the vet for something, in fact even offered
to continue with the insurance after the puppy was returned to the breeder.
The OP also has several vet bills to prove she didn't hesitate to run him in
at any point.
And I cannot believe for a second that someone who reminds people
daily of just how smart she is didn't go ahead and send that refund to
the OP with proof of reciept, a tracking number etc. That would be just
a good business practice to ensure that payment was in fact recieved.
