That is what it was supposed to be, once upon a time, a long time ago, that's not what it is today, it was never what we falsely believe it was.
Truth is this country is now and has always been a country of immigrants from every corner of the earth, that is who the people are, not just a select few, a select race, or select religion, the founding fathers were not the saints or hero's history makes them out to be, but the words sure sounded good.
Remember who's land this was before, and what happened to them.
Still they remain and have a place here too, it's time to recognize them for who they are as well.
If we are to be of the people, by the people, for the people, then we must include all the people, equally.
People, not a government, not a church, and not a corporation.
If we practiced what we preach, think how wonderful it could be.

If you don't want to argue politics, don't. But the elections didn't resolve anything. Nothing really changed, but it has to. Whether you care or not.
