If I hadn't been so upset and broken at the time, I'm sure I would have been more furious. We almost lost our second son due to substandard care at the hospitol, so much for the medical community.

I was told by one of the attendants to leave the room, which I foolishly did, none of them nurses or doctors.
Finally a nurse came in and told them to cut, my son was blue by then, the cord was around his neck.
It was close, too damned close.

Adoption is very expensive in some cases, but no one can quote a standard fee because all situations are different. When they are subsidized, they may be cheaper than raising your own child. But yes, that would be a governmental expense. Some expenditures are more socially relevant than others.

Actually, there is no law passed by Congress giving women the right to an abortion. There is a decision by 7 Supreme Court Justices that prevents States from banning abortions entirely under the privacy clause of the 14th Amendment. The only abortion law is the one banning partial birth abortions and that is rarely enforced due to unresolved issues of viability and what is meant by "women's health."

I almost lost my dad due to incompetence twice. Usually the VA is good and we have no complaints, but 12-14 years ago, my father had an impaction which is extremely life threatening to a person with an ostomy. My mother took him to the Florida VA where the doctor examining him said my dad was fine. The doctors wanted to watch my father who developed a fever and was in extreme pain with bloating, I was demanding they open dad up and get rid of the impaction. Less than 12 hours later my dad was in emergency surgery for what I know was a ruptured intestine. His fever spiked, his white count spiked, his blood pressure bottomed out, his heart rate became erratic, and he lost consciousness. He also ended up having 20% of his small intestine removed due to damage (he is already missing his entire large intestine) DUH. They say it was nothing and I was over reacting, well I got paid to recognize life threatening situations. He was placed in an ICU were he was recovering well and had incredible nurses and doctors, then transferred to another unit with a head RN called "Sarge" and doctors terrified of her. She saw nothing wrong with a traumatic catherization that left my father in extreme pain and bleeding profusely into his urine bag. She saw nothing wrong with letting my father sit in his own feces from a ruptured ostomy bag for hours, leaving the container with feces open next to his meal trays and telling my mom to "take care of it if it bothers you". My dad was so weak he could not empty his own ostomy bag or get out of bed to empty the container after surgery where they opened up his entire abdomen and he had a HUGE incision site. He became extremely ill from infection in a matter of days and I flew down and raised holy hell. I earned the nickname "Bulldog" because I didn't stop raising hell until conditions were rectified and no one was exempt, not even the Chief Surgeon and Chief Hospital Administrator. I still have it to this day, the nickname somehow made it into my dad's chart under daughter.

Amazing.
And in most states suicide is illegal?
Where is it legal?
Are you a man or a woman Micaho?
Just curious.
Why would the Supreme Court make a ruling to protect a womans rights if they had none?
Call me old fashioned but you have no right to my home, property, or posessions.
You have no rights inside my home, and what goes on there is no ones business period.
You have no rights to shape my life into your idea of what it should be, and you absolutely have no rights to tell me or my family what choices we make regarding our own lives and bodies.
You do not have any right to judge or rule anyone.
Some expenditures are more socially relevant than others?
Yeah right.

"Some expenditures are more socially relevant than others." Like helping the working poor to have insurance coverage? Food stamps, welfare and mediciad to help the poor take care of all these babies. You are talking out both sides of your mouth and you don't even realize it.
I can and will put a price on adoption, you are looking at pretty close to $50,000 dollars to do most legit adoptions, I know because I have family that adopted a couple children. Again, I say to pro-lifers put up or shut up. You want you want but you aren't willing to do much more than talk on a dog forum about non-dog BS. You have no experience but you claim to have facts and your facts are BS talk with no back up but your religious right wing shit.

Since the majority of abortions are requested by minority females, I'm sort of surprised at which of our politicians and citizens oppose them. I'd think they'd be jumping up and down for joy knowing that there will be one less "taker" they will need to support in the future. The 49% thing. It really makes me question whether all the political opposition to abortions are genuine or the results of what may get them re-elected. - or not.
How many more babies would be victims of sexual and physical abuse by boyfriends and mothers who didn't want them in the first place if abortions are outlawed?
