Well, as I said, I'm new to this, living and learning. There have been dogs that he wasn't like that with. As a matter of fact this has only happened twice and as I stated, its never been a vicious attack, just on and over that quick and not due to my intervention. At the same time he's been attacked by other dogs 3 times to which he didn't respond due to his training and a couple others in which he just came up and sniffed butt. For lack of evidence I would dispute what you're saying. There are only so many opportunities for hands on training in a residential area and I'd further state that the majority of dogs that are encountered in those circumstances ARE dogs that haven't been socialized at if, if they have ever even been exposed to another canine at all. Furthermore, I have 5 other dogs and none of them behave in a similar manner.

Thanks for your advice, though. I'll take it into account.

I mean, I know Ramgsd, the work with a dog is ongoing but around here there's only so much room for working with other people. There's the dog down the street that craps and pees in everyone's yard and acts like he owns the street, the ABD that carries on and strains at his leash at every dog that walks by, the two dogs that attack every vehicle that passes by, my GFs dog who growls every time a dog gets within 10 feet of her and the neighbors lab who obviously gets abused. I don't know how the rest of the world is, but around here it doesn't seem so cut and dried. Its rural America

Have had him, sometimes throws small size dogs

Small meaning 35 pounds

Well Danko doesn't do that. As a matter of fact, my two rat terriers share the pen with him. I've had him 1 1/2 years and I'm just now getting to walking him off the leash. Training might be going slowly but between working full time and school full time my dogs can only get part of my time..... a part that's needed elsewhere, but they take priority.

I have a great grandson out of Asko - He has been slow to mature in regards to his body size  (meaning growing into his feet)- but not in the head.  He is clearheaded, eager to please and has drive out the wazoo - he also is a great grand son to Aly, Nick and Gottiff.

He is awesome dog on whoever he took after - don't know enough about Aly or Gottiff to say who he got what from... Here is his pedigree.

I have a 8 month Asko grandson, have only had him about a week. So far he shows good drive, good nerves, and he's social. We are in the process of getting to know each other, but so far I really like him.

November, you said "There are only so many opportunities for hands on training in a residential area" what does that mean? I've taken dogs from nothing to schutzhund titles in a residential area.  So far you've been lucky. He's not run into the wrong dog. All the finger pointing at how the neighbors dogs act will do nothing when a fight does happen. You control your training. If you can't trust your dog off leash he shouldn't be off leash. Why is he comming into contact with other dogs? Have these been planned meetings that you're trying to control? Instead of hi-jacking this thread any further feel free to PM me so I understand you better.

No need to PM ram, I think you're just trying to start shit. Maybe you didn't read my posts. I think they're fully explanatory.
