I know Carlin, silly us, refusing to be spoon fed crap. Does that fall under sheeple (placidly eating whatever the politicians and media feed us) or leeples (following our leaders without question, even over the cliff if they want us to) or cheeples (chicken littles running around screaming the sky is falling because the politicians and media tell us it is), or ostreeples (sticking our heads in the sand), the list could go on........

Blitzen, I know you and I disagree on guns and SYG (and I really do respect your view point) but lately I've heard more comments regarding SYG that are interesting, many while I am filling my tank at the gas station in Palmetto:
"Because of the stupid SYG law, I will be careful not to cut anyone off in traffic, I might get shot"
"I won't be flipping the person who sat in the left lane off when I pass them on the right because with SYG, I could end up shot"
"I will think twice before telling some old f**k to f**k off when they take so long because he might have a gun"
"I'll be worried the next fine hoe I see shoot me if I wanna feel her fine a**"
And so on, sounds to me like we may have some politer people with SYG

Holder...I'm surprised he's still kickin' around after his own party threw him under the bus. He needs to go take his seat by the water cooler, or possibly sweep the floors and empty the garbage, because at this point, it is really difficult to take him seriously.

Lol - someone "disliked" my Holder comment. Such short memories, or completely oblivious to this guy's track record, or the fact that he's been hanging by a veritable thread for the past year. There is an easy fix to the cowardice enabled by the whole like/dislike thing. On another forum I frequent, your likes/dislikes are attached to your screen name. No problem here; I don't have any trouble owning or substantiating what I have to say.
These kinds of statutes are handled at the state level. Rick Scott has already stated in so many words that he won't support a change in SYG. I think the failure of recent legislation at the national level this year is indicative of how well it would be received right now. The House has shown thus far that they aren't willing to roll over for Obama, and it would behoove the administration to begin picking it's battles as opposed to attempting to mandate what "simply must be", that is, if they want anything accomplished for the next several years.

Jesse Jackson can't refuse a microphone the issue doesn't matter, he just likes the sound of his own voice.
