Ggturner -- ah yes, the story of Achan...one of my favorites in all the bible. Jesus may as well have said to that young man "what are you hiding in your tent?". To think, thousands died in Ai because of the idolatry of one man. Idolatry - forgetting what I say I love, what does the fruit of my life say I love. My energy, my time, my resources, my words, and even my thoughts testify to the answer. What does it look like when it's real... God is my witness, I cannot read Deut 6:1-15 without shedding a tear. It is my hope I never fail to take daily inventory of the ground in the tent.

I really don’t know why you brought my name to your post.
The core of the problem is not the money but how the Bible says: (Matthew 6:21) For where your wealth is, there will your heart be. And it is also written: (1 Corinthians 7:30) and for those who are getting property, to be as if they had nothing;
To get back on topic, Yes it’s very hard - but possible to be rich person and at the same time be 100% percent pure for the Lord.
But that young man had failed in that story of the Bible.
