The river was a bit too cold to swim today, I didn't take the camera anyway.....

We were doing really well here, has been in the 70's. Today it is going maybe up to 90. The big change is not good on humans or animal.

One of my female pups was struck by a Coppperhead tonight at feeding time, it could have been me.
She's doing ok for now, I think it was only a scratch but she doesn't feel good for sure.
Going to the vet in the morning if she's able.

Well she's still alive.
Hind leg is swollen but she can stand briefly.

wow.that sucks,hope she recovers quickly.on top of being hot as hell you have this.well good luck and talk to you and brutus soon.oh yeah, this is definately another thing you wouldnt have to worry about with a winter litter.

Brutus is doing fine, I'm lucky I discovered the snake when I did before the pups found him.
They crowd around me and I couldn't push the female away quick enough.
Now I'm all freaked out looking at the ground everywhere I walk.
She's doing better now, nursed a little and had some food, wanted to chew on me and kept bitching for her siblings so she's back outside for a while. I've been up all night baby sitting her.
My vet wasn't a lot of help, just keeping watch on her for now.
