We can vote with our wallets by refusing to do business with corporations who lobby Congress until they stop.

Bad SC decision -- gives Corporations and Unions unlimited amounts that they can contribute.   Are the Unions still using Dues of their Members to support political candidates -- without the Members' agreeing? 

 Keith, Ninja and Crys, I think you are right.  Vote out the incumbents and get a new start.  And, Trace, the legislative system we have is designed to be balanced.  If you have that, you do not get the heinous behavior we are seeing in our Congress at this point in time.  The republicans are not innocent bystanders.  Spending other people's money is easy when you think you have a right to your House or your Senate seat, a la John McCain.

We can wring our hands about what happened in the past, and the criminal rape by Congress of the American people going on right now still goes on.  Keep fiddling, who cares if Rome burns.

I dont know if I even should get involved in this discussion, as I am German, and now live in Germany, But, since I used to live in the US and am married since 18 years to my american wife, I feel that I could & should. My wife still holds her American passport and my son has dual citizenship.

Anyway, I dont know the numbers you guys play with, but they sure are scary. "O" has no other choice to spend more, because otherwise, the heritage of Mr. Bush would collapse entirely.
GtR, I believe you are right, Mr. Bush will be remembert in the history books as the greatest deciver of all times. When going back from Washington to Frakfurt, I found a book at an store in the Airport. The author was a Vincent Bugliosi, I found out the he was the prosecuter who tried Charles Manson, dont know for sure, but if my memory serves me right, he was a District Attorny. He wrote this book, called " The prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder". In the beginning, I thought this guy is nuts, just one more who thinks of making a quick buck. But the further I read the book, the more I was convinced, that indeed, if someone would have the balls to try Mr. Bush, he would only have to read the book, everything right there.
And, since I tend not to believe everything without rechecking it, I did when I was back home. Lord and behold, what Vincent wrote, was right there, ready to see for everybody. The thing was simple, as mere single incidents one would not be able to see the whole magnitude of it. But put together and setting it into a timeframe, I was shocked.
Really, you hardcore Bush fans, read the book, do your own research, form your opinion about it.
