really the "dealbreaker" should be the moment you don't get to see the actual written passing hip/elbow rating on one or both of the parents. Should be "period, end of story" at that point - easy to check out too -

Thanks Gustaf,
not many person try to take Aras for stud,
to powerfull,
but thats just what you need for stud,
most strong studs are not hight points players al had Aras 100 tracking 93 obidience end 999 protection
not bad at al,
I try to have my dog's in good shape strong, but that the are be can titlte,
social to, good in the head, clear,
I see what the female give's end on Flipsy I put a very strong male she is good has got points 98 A 98 B 98 C not in one game.
I have now 1 pup from Javir end her end gone breed her for the last time in a week or 2
Whit Trix this is differend she has lots of drives so I must not take Javir on her,
the pup has lots off drive's enoff, or we go over the limit end thats not good!
Im a little breeder becasue to have a pup from the combinations I want end this going good,
but I want perfection,
also good lines, good workers end also nice looking dogs, good build!
But lots off female's are not so strong put quick a sch on end tittle end breed
wel then you must go to a stud like Ewo,
this gone bring strongnes in your bloodline's end pups

Rita,
When I found out that Aras was in the US I emailed his owner and asked if her was avaiable for stud and they said NO WAY!
Maybe that is why he wasn't used much.

Molly there is alot I want to say but its not nice or professional of me to put it on a public forum so that is why I can't say too much about the hips issue. Thats why I just informed everyone I will get a professional opinion about hips, genetics, and chances. What it boils down to is that both parties don't have the funds to get both dam and sire x -rays done. The dam had prelims done at one and half years old rating good. I'm not sure if that counts but I guess OFA results would be better.
The only reason I am iffy about this situation is because of the hips. The breeder is a very nice guy. I have been talking to him for a few months straight every night. He is very humble. I guess I'm a sucker for very friendly people that like to chat about anything dogs, work, personal issues, whatever. I know he won't be upset if I don't purchase from him because that is what he stated from the being when we first talked on the phone. He just wants me to be happy and find the right dog for me, which is more than I can ask for. I guess I don't want to feel like I was wasting his time talking to him all this time and not get a pup from him( i know what you guys are thinking why didn't i ask the above things before it got this far. I did ask from the beginning but he did the breeding anyways before I even got what I asked for, extremely long story and don't want to drag it ). I am pretty sure he will be ok either way. He knows I'm not in a rush to buy a pup. We will still continue to talk even though I may not buy a pup from him. At the end you will always need friends / family and people to talk to. Money isn't everything. I don't want to keep going on and on about if i am or not going to buy a pup but trust me I hear all of you and will use my head and make the best decision. At this point I already know where I am leaning to so...im not too surprised what my outcome decision will be. I always have 2 other back up breeders that are pretty well known (all the above requirements are completed and video shouldn't be a problem) that i can fall back on when that time approaches. Big price difference though :(
GOD, I never knew shopping around for puppies (the right one all around) is a hard process....GEEZ......frustration.

Yes, don't be a sucker!!! And here's another piece of advice - you get what you pay for. If you pay less for a dysplastic pup, then you'll be paying a LOT more in the end for surgery, supplements, and disappointment that isn't worth any amount of money. Pay what the pup is worth now - from hip rated, quality parents - and you have a much greater chance to be happy - and health-care free - in the pups' future. Paying even one dollar for a pup from non-hip rated parents - let alone from a parent with a known bad hip!!!!!!!! - is just foolish IMO. Keep looking.

Sorry, I'm remember someting,
Max the first owner had a female also good end Ewo,
end it was not planned that there was a litter comming,
they had I think 8 pups,
but Max has then lett cheque the hips from Ewo end his female
for see that all was good!
He told me that they were good,
so I'm now surpriced that they are not good any more?
before we go for the hips end dna now here lots of people do the tests HD end ED end DNA
so end sch end kkl
you are never sure,
when you buy a dog.
