Krazy Bout K9s

by Krazy Bout K9s on 11 August 2009 - 15:08

Thank you to the people that have donated to my paypal account to help Shelley. I am forwarding all of it to her....no fees taken out,,,,Crys...
It is working now...we need to get her money to live on and get established again...Someone helped me out when I was in the same situation, so I am forwarding the favor...

She needs some stability in one place right now, not bopping all over the globe as wonderful as that sounds...we need to get her to her old home where she can heal...then she can come and visit us all.

Anymore donations to the Montana GSD Rescue site for "THE SHELLEY FUND" will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF SHELLEY...

Shelley,

I PM'd you.
Don't worry about repayment to me.
If you ever make your way to MA just stop in with your dogs.

I can't help out with more than moral support and good thoughts right now, but I send lots of those until the 1st of the month when I hope I can help in a more material fashion. I also have been there/done that and I know what an emotional black hole that can be. I know how the dogs (and cats, and birds) can help keep you from just slipping into black space.

CrysBuck25,
A wire transfer, Walmart or Western Union does have a fee. Walmart right now is $10.00 anywhere in the US. WU charges a percentage on top of a flat fee. It's great when someone needs money right now this minute and can go pick it up, but not an ideal option if it can wait a couple days. PayPal is totally free. There's no fees involved at all and you don't need an account to send money. That's the way to go. For the folks who don't want to go the PayPal route for whatever reason, my PO box is available and whatever hits it moves on to Shelley.

Steph, you rock! Thanks to all for what you're doing.

I do not know you Shelley (or anyone on this board) but if you would like to come to Washington state there is a place here for you, and your amazing pack!

I hope it all works out best for you and very very soon :)

I am not sure who made that call, but it was definitely the catalyst for my being where I am right now.
The night before (night of phone call) and morning of my departure were very rough indeed.

Those of you who do know me also know I would not normally just throw a few bags in the van, dogs in the unwashed trailer, leaving everything else I own behind, and depart for an "itinerary-free vacation" out into the cold/hot cruel world,  less than $500. to my name, without some very serious provocation.

I don't know who did it, or even if it is somebody from this board, don't want any fingers pointed please, but whoever was responsible for that phone call took the time and trouble to find my husband's company cell phone number, and caused me a world of trouble... the kind nobody deserves. It is my own fault for airing my laundry in a public forum. Sooner or later the War Dept was bound to get wind.
I take full responsibility.
Let's let that be the end of any accusations on my behalf on this thread, please.

Shelley,

Don't worry about paying me back.  You can pay it forward some day, if you like but it's not a loan.  It's a gift.  I don't know how often or how much but I will keep trying to send it when I can.  If things get crazy bad, let me know.  I'll have a garage sale or something!

As a friend of mine said a few weeks ago, so well-
"Its okay NOT to pray for someone close to you's recovery. Its just not okay to be responsible for them NEEDING that recovery."

CrysBuck, You could get a Costco cash card ( they have decent but cheap dog food) and have Shelley PM a town that she is heading for and then send it to her care of Postmaster General Delivery and she can pick it up there.

I'm going to start a new thread with some suggestions on ways all of us can help. Look for Shelley and the GSD Underground Railway.
