After reading all the posts, I think the situation of when you are allowed to take pictures/video and when you aren't is about as clear as mud.

Since there appears to be no rule in the Association(s) rules that say yea or hey, then I think the responsibility is on the Club holding the event to post here spectators enter if they DO NOT ALLOW Pictures/Video to be taken, especially if held on private grounds.

In Belgium at the big trials there is a Photgrapher who takes pictures at these sort of events and he is inside on the working field but keeps out of the dogs way so he does not affect them, He too is a Schutzund Competitor who trials his own Dog
I would thing he was at the second Belgian Sectional Trial today for the WUSV, I could not get there it was too far to go in the time i had whichwas a pity
I will not miss the final one next month at Veerle, For the Pup to be's Dad will be competing again

Regarding photographers at large events.....the organization is "damned" if they do hire one and "damned" if they don't. How many times have we heard people complain that they were not allowed to "compete" with the photographer and could not take their own photos? And later, sometimes nothing came of the fact that the photographer/videographer was there. That means, they did not complete their job. Personally, I am unaware of any time a photographer "lost" money on any event he/she covered. We once hired a professional and no one bought photos from him, but he was guaranteed some money by me, so he was paid for his time. People still took photos and there was no issue with that.

Secondly, we have also heard the other side in that no photographer was present and people are upset about this because frankly, in a large event, often one is too busy to take photos. And one cannot have everyone on the field or near it to take shots. So this is food too for thought and a reason to consider an official photographer designee.

There is no reason, in my mind, why people cannot take photos wherever they please. But if one wants to restrict it, then publicize it loud and clear and that might just be a reason people do not attend or participate. That is what seems to be common sense here.

Dennis,
This is where the confusion sets in.

I think there was a similar situation Private/Public in regards to vaccination proofs prior to entering the field.  Cant remember and really dont want to go look at it.

Parementers:
Scanticned event
Trial field is located in the center of private property.

I would interpret this as the trial field would be under the governing body while the property surrounding it would be the owners but im a computer person and not a lawyer so would love to hear from those who do.  As with everything I dont believe there is a clear cut rule/law to cover this.  Maybe it should be brought up at the next meeting.

Please stop with bringing it up at the next meeting
Enough with more rules and laws. THIS is a free Country  I think!!
If it is an Event No one can stop you from taking Videos or Pictures. Again the only way it is possible is at a private
gathering seminar or party and they can request everything they want.
Have you ever been stopped from taking Videos and Pics at a super bowl/championship boxing/soccer/
baseball game,

 Bob,

No, the photo is no less scary, but it does show your handsome profile LOL.....

For what it is worth, if I posted my photo here it would be worse for all you PC users than the upcoming worm threat due to hit April Fools day. Your computers would simply blow up. At least you would not have to worry about a worm..........
