schutzhund_girl_90

I know we've all heard this before but ...

"Horand embodied for the enthusiasts of that time the fulfillment of their fondest dreams. He was big for that period, between 24" and 24 1/2", even for the present day a good medium size, with powerful frame, beautiful lines, and a nobly formed head. Clean and sinewy in build, the entire dog was one live wire. His character was on a par with his exterior qualities; marvelous in his obedient fidelity to his master, and above all else, the straightforward nature of a gentleman with a boundless zest for living. Although untrained in puppy hood, nevertheless obedient to the slightest nod when at this master's side; but when left to himself, the maddest rascal, the wildest ruffian and incorrigible provoker of strife. Never idle, always on the go; well disposed to harmless people, but no cringer, mad about children and always in love. What could not have been the accomplishments of such a dog if we, at that time, had only had military or police service training? His faults were the failings of his upbringing, never of his stock. He suffered from a superfluity of unemployed energy, for he was in Heaven when someone was occupied with him and was then the most tractable of dog."

Gator, you are a true gentleman.

This post is no different from any other post looking for info about people's opinions of a dog's conformation.

If this dog were a black, bi-color or dark sable many of those critizing this dog would not have.  With an extra few pounds and two perfect ears many here would consider this a great breeding prospect.  The dog is down right homely, as are many working line dogs.  Some people bred for performance for the field and if this dog had what it takes, she'd be bred and bred and bred...by too many here that would never admit it on this post.

>...a good workingline breeder would NOT breed a dog that has poor conformation no matter HOW good it works!!>
PLEASE!  We both know that is not true.

Molly has beautiful dogs, of substance, character and good workability.  This post is not in any way reference to her.

Thanks, Animules! This girls' breeders have produced some incredible dogs......& we don't know her story. She may throw much better than herself....besides--(again....) you simply can't judge from one picture. jh

Right again Kalibeck - and to the poster who questioned whether or not she would pass the breeding requirements in Germany, yes, she did. And has had a number of litters. I'd like to see more of her, and what she produces, rather than making a decision based on one photo which may not show her at her best. She does come from an excellent kennel/breeder,which should say something.

Well Sue Ann, obviously your definition of a GOOD workingline breeder is different than mine.  No way in hell would I buy a pup from her, there are ALOT better candidates to choose from!

Edit to add: I just noticed you are a breeder of West German Showline, none of which are  titled, and you recommend Eukanuba dog food.  Explains a lot.

Does anyone know the name of this dog or a link to her ped?

poseidon

The advertisement for the sale of the bitch was from Bonchen aka Ute Rataiczak (http://www.vom-schmiedegarten.de).  Other than that, there is no name, pedigree for the bitch.  Perhaps she could be selling on behalf of a friend.

Intriguingly, we know nothing more about the bitch apart from the picture.

Right I couldn't find her on their site either, that's why I asked. After all of this, I am curious.
