don, its probably me not explaining everything correctly-ive was upset, worried & pissed off ! im not meaning to take what you say wrong- he doesnt have a "ilness" right now, hes not feeling good from the lack of care he got-i can only tell you, he lost alot of weight, was dehydrated when i picked him up, he also had diarrhea- none of this he had when i left him, now i know this was brought on by strees-no doubt-im not blaiming them fot that-what i am saying is nothing was done to help or stop it, thats what im saying is wrong- every test that was done before he was boarded was negative for anything- this includes, blood, urine, 4 stool samples, x-rays & others, also just so you iknow he went threw a round on treatments for thing-just incase the were missed-including giardia & pin worm, before he was boarded , the week of him being boarded we went to vets to get some more test results back, again these were more exstensive blood tests-they were perfect, so this is how i know that he was not sick & how i can tell you , he did not have anything wrong to cause this except for stress- again im not blaiming them for the stress-im blaining them for not helping him-when i think it would have been easy for them to pick up the phone & call me- the xrays we did the other day showed he had some intestinial & bowel swelling my vet advised me this could happen from the diarrhea going on for so long-also would explain the weight loss, so now hes taking meds just to help settle everything-also withheld food for 24 hrs & been feeding him 1 cup rice 4xaday, along with small bowls of water- he also had to get fluids under his skin for dehydration, as i did not want to leave him at the vets & stress him more-also he is feeling & doing much better now,his diarrhea has stopped & he up and playing and following me around again, so with a couple days of rice & fliuds he's ok-except for weight he lost, which in time hopfully will be put back on. i hope this explains more.

That's kinda what I thought. If you have a very stressed dog that paces continuously, 12 pounds in twelve days, dehydration, diahrea, and energy loss are not that hard to believe.
Depending on the temperment of your dog, maybe you should seek alternative means to boarding. I don't want you to think that you can't go anywhere again. Maybe find a better kennel that will crate and exercise the dog regularly. Mybe a family member or friend can watch him at their home or yours.

$575.00 for 12 days? He should have been fed caviar and tucked into the King size with the kennel owners for that!
I agree with you venzosmom, how hard is it to pick up the phone and dial?
