I train Cain in Schutzhund.  He passed his BH in April and his ATTS in September.  We are working toward our SchH 1.  We are trialing for a SchH A in December and planning to go for the 1 in March 2008.  I admire anyone who can train dogs for more than one venue.  I have all I can do to work and train in Schutzhund.

Alero- BH, SchI,CGC

Trinity-SchI

Dar- BH,CGC

Chassis- BH,CGC,DHT,GDT,IDT3,TT,WH (and 1st leg of CD)

As you can see, I have not gone very far with any one dog, but I love all the little stuff. I will continue with Chassis to collect as many ABC's as possible. Big time compitition is just not for me but it is still challanging and rewarding to compete for the fun letters.

Congrats to all who do ANY training and or titles. Just the time and effort alone speaks volumes.

JoAnn, Can you tell us what the DHT, GDT, IDT3 titles are?

Thanks!

Shelley Strohl

Rhoda,

Do my eyes decieve me or is the dog riding ON the ATV? I run them behind to get some of the sap out of them before obedience and when they are getting cabin fever being locked inside when the weather is foul. Actually, they are in such good condition after a couple of weeks of ATV training I should let them drive and make ME run behind. :-D

Not gonna happen... I don't trust any of them not to get crazy and roll the thing, or turn around and mow me down just for fun!

Well, I have trained both my dogs as my Psychiatric Service Dogs, no official titles but they can accompany me anywhere in public since they help my with anxiety and bipolar disorder. Today Spunky (Zippy vom Haus Miller) and I went to the library to use the internet, then went to Target for a new rope/tug toy, which we wrestled around with while walking to the mall, where we dined on Gyro meat from Coney Island and some dollar menu items from Burger King. Then it was back on the bus downtown to the library, where I am back on the internet.........later it's a two-mile walk to a local hiking trail or down to the lakewalk around midnight so both Nenz and Spunk can tear around and get tired so we can all go to sleep. Sorry if that doesn't sound impressive. I don't have money to go chasing around earning titles or showing Spunky, though I was told she would probably do very well in the showring. I don't need to pay someone to tell me she is beautiful, and the menacing growl she gives at night to strangers is more convincing than a Schutzhund title on paper would be in proving she can protect. Nenz has bad hips and that cost him his show career in Germany before I got him. My dogs are just dogs; loveable, slobbery, protective, loving, and loyal members of my family : D
