Echo:   this is the very reason Veronica and her husband just got back from Europe with her new kids....she went in person to get her new boy and the females......

She spent a huge amount of money and would not take the chance of airlines haveing any problem so her and hubby escorted them home.....all the way......

Since Yako is an import he has been shipped before.   Hopefully it is an isolated incident and the dog is ok.   I saw the ads that were posted about him (that divorce has been going on for a long time) 

As I said before,  considering how he reacted to us when he got there,  I am FORCED to beleive something happened in St. Louis where he was dropped off....  We let him sit for about 3 minutes at the most,  I spoke his name and told him good boy,  My hubby the brave one,  put the choke collar and lead on him and brought him out,  his body language was VERY uncomfortable,  I told hubby well he's been with a female for a while let me have the lead,  I took the lead and gave a Fuss command and walked off and he looked up at me and wagged his tail and went right on,  I walked him around a bit,  stopped now and then to give him a pet, and a good boy,  and we loaded him in the truck (in the front at first)  and drove away....   down the road it became obvious he was not comfortable in the front of the truck,  So we stopped put the crate on the ground,  I told him Crate,  he went in layed right down no hesitation,  and we loaded the crate and drove home with 2 stops for potty breaks....   I honestly beleive something happened in St. Louis that made him go berzerk,  especailly the more I get to know him and the more I see how confident and friendly he is with everyone he meets.

We really like him alot and are happy thus far !!    He is settling in and seems happy as well...

Boy, that Echo meadows sure knows how to tell a STORY !    Yako was fine when he was dropped off at the airport !   He was there at noon !   for a 2:00 flight.   I have no idea what happened but feel he had a terrible event there !   He SIMPLY KNOCKED OFF THE WATER BOWL from the crate door !!   They put him on a later flight at 5:00 p.m.  the dog didnt reach its destination till after 10:00 pm.   yes, he is crate trained and i have never had any problems with this male !   he is not aggressive, nor do i believe anything this person from Echo meadows says !   She is a liar, i  DID speak with her and the airlines.   She says hes a great dog, has him on her website.   Does this person put comments on here all the time ?   She says the crate rolled over after being bumped into.  Gee I wonder why the dog was upset ? Dont understand why she would make all this garbage up ?   In response to her lies about all the money she paid.  She was the one that wanted to send the money wires.  I had another person interested in him as well and told her I dont hold dogs without a deposit, this is why she sent me a money wire.  after that she could have sent me money order.  She was in a big hurry to get him !   She posts pics on her website on the 15th and states hes an import, with pink papers !   Well yes he is, this lady wanted me to pay for things that the buyer pays for.   I truely believe that she purchased him and her husband found out how much money she was spending and got pissed off.  Yes we had a hard time even finding an airline that would go into her town, that sold crates, that took dogs and kennel that weighed over 70 pounds.  ETC.  I dont get my dog food for free !  She knew everything in advance about the prices !!  This was a bad experience.  I do LOVE my dogs and dont appreciate all the bad comments

I had to respond to this post. I purchased a male from a very reputable breeder in the states here.He bought the dog from germany and had it shipped here to phila airport,and I had to go threw "customs" to get the dog.When I handed over the nessassary paper work to the customs,They asked why I was involved with the Alabama K9"  and started acting very suspicious" of me and treating me not nice at all. I told them I bought this dog for my own companion,and I had nothing to do with Alabama K9. Well I could make this post 3 pages long as the nightmare started to unfold,but I will make it as short as possible. In frankfurt Germany someone in charge of boarding the live animals on the right planes,sent my dog to Alabama!!! and they sent me an Alabama K9 dog!!! A very  upset unfriendly  dog at that ! I went threw a nightmare that day,I had to wait 2 days to get my dog,and the 2 hour trips back n forth to the airport were not a joy to say the least!  I will never get an imported dog again,unless it is already in the USA.

I could write a book on shipping incidents, having shipped dogs hundreds of time, with and without myself on the same flights. One time, on my home from Germany to CA (home till 8 yrs. ago) the pilot pulled the power at the last minute before touching down in Salt Lake. Anyone who files knows about "ground affect...." BAM! We hit the tarmac like 100 tons of bricks. Overhead compartments flew open, cargo shifted, people screamed.

Safely at the gate, ready to deboard, here comes the captain down the aisle, asking who is the owner of the GSD in the baggage hold. "ME!" (panic) "Why?"

"Will you please come with me ma'am."

Turns out the luggage shifted so much that poor Onyx's crate was demolished. Upon opening the baggage compartment door, the handlers found my dog, incensed, perched atop the luggage up beheath the ceiling, barking. "No one gets in, period!" said Onyx, "till Mom gets here."

The airline bought us a nice new crate for the last leg of the journey. Onyx was no worse for wear, thank God. I have a few more similar stories, but don't want to belabor the point.

You were lucky Echo. They could just as well have shot the dog. Hopefully the shipper will remain available after their dogs have been consigned from now on. Cell phones don't reach everywhere, but I'd sure hate to have this happen when the airlines couldn't get ahold of me.

would you like me to print the email you responded to me about it ???      YOUR FULL of it,  saying that you called me or my husband, or the airline YOU DID NOT call the airline either !!!!!!!   

If you did Scan a copy of your phone bill and put it HERE !!!

I WILL to show How many times I called you and left messages,  also how many times my husband called you and left messages !!!    I will scan our phone bill and POST IT ALL HERE FOR ALL TO SEE if you like ??

DO you really wanna go there,  OR do you want to tell the truth now,  I am NOT lying about any of this bullshit,  I was the one on the phone with the airline,  I am the one who had to fax a paper giving authorization to tranqualize,  I am the one who was standing there when the idiot overturned his crate,  NOT YOU !!   HELL NO NOT YOU the airline could NOT even get YOU to answer your freaking phone !!!    The airline almost had this dog put down in Denver, CO.   they were threatening to shoot him, and or euthanize him if they were unable to get him undercontrol and unable to get ahold of YOU !!    I finally got them to agree to letting me fax the authorization for sedation....  I faxed it from a restaurant in Portland if you would like I can call them and ask them to Provide me with a copy of they're phone records to prove it here as well....

Anythings else you would like to argue ???   PROVE YOU CALLED ME !!!    POST a scanned copy of your phone bill !!!
