Sue, I read your post and have to wonder, how do such troubles find the same people again and again! Geez. What a sad state of affairs.

I've had an email today from Vickie about Hessel's passing. She states the necropsy showed Hessel died from a fungal lung infection. Yeast to be exact. That's all she said other then it took time for the results to come back and that's why she didn't elaborate on the type of infection.

A shame to lose him so young IMO.

As far as Athos and Vinetta, to the best of my knowledge, that situation is still unresolved and the dogs are still with Vickie. Personally I feel it's best to let Vickie and Veronica handle it between themselves privately and not hash it out on public messageboards or other websites.

Birgit I am very sorry you did not know about Hessel and had to find out this way.

Yes she does. However, I am concerned about what really happened to Hessel.

"Didn't know you cared about him" was the excuse for not telling you, Birgit??? I'm sorry. 

You cannot keep every dog you care about. Selling a dog does not mean you don't care about him, and furthermore, since you are still owed money on the dog, you ought to have been the first one to know. 

I'm so sorry. Maybe people will stop sending her dogs???? Her behavior is more than questionable in so many areas. 

I agree that since this is such a mess, it's probably best kept off the boards until resolved. 

Yes, it would be nice if she could elaborate on the specific fungal/yeast infection that affected Hessel. Especially in regards to the other animals in her care. From what I just read, this is not a disease with an all-of-a-sudden onset of symptoms, it takes some time before a dog will die. A tad worrisome, considering, and sorry I am not trying to create an issue by bringing it up, but only because of the specific infections and their sources for infection, and well, all the other history, just makes me worry a bit for those other dogs!

are we talking about Vicky? Vicky as the one who used to be a moderator? The one who was very vocal and is currently banned? or is this someone else who is not even part of this board?   O_o
